1) Start a blog

Do you have a lot of information that would be helpful to people? Do you have thoughts and opinions that are important enough for others to see? If so, blogging is an awesome way to get your content out there for people who need it. Share your knowledge about what you do, your interests, or just things you think other people might enjoy. People will find your post through searching or from having friends share it with them on social media. Have fun with it! You can even make money if you're able to attract a big audience (and we'll help give you some tips for doing that). A successful business is one that continuously evolves and adapts over time. Start by getting started now!

2) Connect with influencers

Whether it’s a social media post, an email, or your company website—it’s important to get your point across quickly and in as few words as possible. We read more than we listen these days, so try to keep your copy short and sweet. It's packed with fun facts and helpful marketing advice on how you can improve yours. And if that doesn't tickle your fancy, here are some other great copywriting tips that might come in handy

3) Create infographics

Google Analytics is an incredible tool for learning how people interact with your website. It gives you a lot of insights into your audience, such as their age, income level, and geographical location. You can also learn a lot about their interests and most popular content or products. Start by creating a free account with Google Analytics today! If you have multiple websites, don’t forget to add each one under its own profile (or create a new account). This will allow you to easily compare different websites against each other and see which ones are performing better based on data analysis. Once you have it set up on your website(s), it’s time to use it! Start by looking at your website visitors—look at what pages they view most frequently.

4) Run Facebook contests

One of my favorite ways to drive traffic is by holding contests on Facebook. Most business owners don’t know that you can use Facebook for lead generation and then build relationships from there. I recommend running three types of contests: photo, video, and like contests. Facebook loves photo and video content so those tend to generate a lot of entries and good engagement. As for like contests, these are low cost but don’t work as well as other types of contests. Like any contest, however, it’s important that you have a prize worth winning.

5) Create video content

Adding graphics is an easy way to spice up your online content and keep it interesting. It keeps people interested in your message because visuals grab their attention and hold it for longer periods of time. You can create engaging graphics in many different ways, such as using photo editing software or making graphs and charts using data you’ve gathered from a survey or poll. It doesn’t matter how you create them—just make sure they are eye-catching! There are many online services, such as Canva, that allow you to design professional-looking images without much experience. If you want something more personalized, try out Piktochart—which allows users to upload their own images and brand them with clipart and other graphic elements.

6) Use Instagram hashtags correctly

Hashtags are one of your best opportunities for online exposure. They’re basically clickable keywords that allow users to find you and anyone else using those same hashtags in their posts. But it can be easy to over-hashtag, or even use them incorrectly, which will actually make it harder for people to find you when they search Instagram. A good rule of thumb is no more than two or three hashtags per post; keep them relevant and brief.

7) Use Twitter chats

As online content becomes more and more saturated, you need to find ways to stand out. One way is through engaging graphics. You may not be able to create a short, viral video that hits all of YouTube’s hot buttons, but with today’s technology, you can create videos and graphics that really resonate with your audience. Tools like Canva make it super easy for you to create an image—even if you don’t have any design skills. As long as you have a smartphone, take pictures or use stock photos and throw them together into an infographic or meme-style graphic that tells your story in a unique way.

8) Get on podcasts

If you’re doing it on your own and feeling overwhelmed, consider hiring a marketing agency to help make your strategy a reality. Don’t know where to start? From social media managers and SEO experts, to search engine evaluators and content marketers – find any type of home business that suits you here! 9) Have a podcast yourself (a solo show, not an interview)

If you don’t have a podcast, you can do an audio recording of a speech or presentation. You can use software like Audacity (free) to edit out any mistakes and amplify your voice if it’s too quiet. If you don’t have time for a solo show, interview someone else on your topic and post it as an interview in iTunes. Interviews are shorter than podcasts and tend to get higher rankings in iTunes searches, so people will more likely click on yours when they’re looking for something new. Plus, interviews look like great sources of insider information, which is what prospects want most.

10) Write guest posts for other blogs

In order to find clients, you need to establish a network of people that know who you are and what you do. To grow your network, write content for other websites and blogs; not only will it expand your reach and grow your reputation, but often bloggers will share or link back to your website if you contribute high-quality work. This is one of the fastest ways for new businesses (or even established ones) to increase their exposure online—and it’s relatively easy as well. Just remember: when writing guest posts, make sure they include links back to your website or sales page! People have come there specifically because they’re interested in your products or services—don’t let them leave without taking action.
